has terminated the schwarzfunk prepaid tariff and has launched the weissunk contract tariff – an offering specifically tailored to the needs of customers with credit history problems. There are approx. 7.8 million such potential customers in Germany, weissfunk is the first professional and priceworthy offering for this target group.

Azzurro Investment AG founds schwarzfunk gmbh. in Berlin


Azzurro Investment AG has founded schwarzfunk gmbh. (Hegelplatz 1, D-10117 Berlin) to operate and further develop the schwarzfunk mobile phone tariff in Germany.

schwarzfunk was originally launched by uboot.com (an Azzurro Investment AG daughter company) in late 2004 – to complement and monetarize the mobile internet usage of the uboot community. Due to the new orientation of the social network of uboot.com and the success of the youth tariff the operations were transferred to the new company schwarzfunk gmbh. – a 100 % daughter company of Azzurro – which will focus exclusively on the further development of the prepaid as well as the introduction of a schwarzfunk postpaid tariff.
